Federal license and types of archery

To hold or move the bow across the border and to use it abroad should the federal license, since this is considered a weapon.

Andorra at the moment but there is no federation that brings together existing clubs, why are federal licensing of the Catalan Federation of Archery.

There are two types of licenses:

License not approved.

License approved.

In the first case, not only for having approved the arch and also enjoy federal insurance. The cost is smaller but has fewer advantages.

In the second case, the license approved has the first rights over the right to use the bow in training with other clubs in other countries and conduct competitions in any other country. The cost is higher than non-certified.

The licenses are requested at beginning of each year, since its validity is from January to December. But you can also ask any other month of the year, although the cost is the same and will only be valid until December of that year.

If you want it you have to inform any member of the board to make the request.

There are different types of archery and different places where you can perform and compete.

As we have advanced above, there are different types of disciplines and where can our sport:

In autumn and winter the discipline is practiced Shooting Room, the targets on that strip of 40 cm in diameter from 18 feet away. It is usually cast two sets of 30 arrows in three rounds.

The rest of the year there are three distinct options, the Outdoor Shooting, including the most popular form practiced in the Olympics, which includes a more extended round the FITA Round, which is a series of 36 arrows each at distances of 90m and 70m on targets of 122 cm and 50 m and 30m on targets of 80 cm. The 2x70 round, the current Olympic, which will throw two sets of 36 arrows at 70 meters, on targets of 122 cm. And Round 900 in what is shoot three sets of thirty arrows at distances 60m, 50m and 40m on targets of 122cm.

The Shooting of Forest Route, in which groups of three to five archers were pulling on each of the targets that make up a tour and showing the figure of animals. In Forest used 2D drawings or photographs, a route consists of 21 targets, and shoot two arrows from different pegs on each. In Forest 3D volumetric shapes used in natural size, a route consists of 20 targets and shoot two arrows on each.

Finally, the Shooting Field Tour, representing a combination of the other two, and that on routes 16 or 24 targets are thrown three arrows from one peg on each of the targets, in groups of three or four archers. Targets are round black with yellow center, and there are four sizes: 20 cm, 40 cm, 60 cm and 80 cm in diameter.


As for the different modes depending on the type of bow used, and the categories (gender, age), roughly:

Children, up to 12 years.

Youth, from 12 to 16 years.

Junior, Yyouth 16 to 18.

Senior, adults aged 18 to 50 years.

Veteran, adults 50 to 65.

Superveterà, adults from 65.

Novell, those archers who have just started in the first year.

Nude, without bow visor or other materials that can be added to complement the arches and help us.

Viewer with recurve bow that uses a viewfinder to help visualize the targets and have a reference point for them.

Compound bow that has the rope through a pulley system.

Longbow bow or straight in one piece.
